Welcome to Maharksa!

This is the first step on a journey...with no predetermined destination. An exploration into whatever interests me at the time, a forum to share my thoughts with you and a way for you to share yours with me. It is a work in progress, so please visit regularly. I don't know where it all leads, but I intend to enjoy the travel and the traveling companions until this path reaches wherever it is I am bound.

Please be aware that this site may contain thought-provoking words, questions that you don't want to answer and stuff that you need to hear but would rather not...I will try to warn you when the subject is particularly inappropriate for children. If you're going to be offended by it, don't read it. If you begin to be offended, stop reading. Walk away. If it makes you angry, uncomfortable or nervous...well, maybe it's supposed to and you should figure out why.

Here are some of the phrases I use throughout my life and you're going to hear in one form or another rather often--in no particular order:

A life lived in fear is a life half-lived.

Make your state of mind more important than what you are doing. (And happiness is a state of mind.)

If you don't like your life, change your choices.

Truth, you will find, mostly depends on your point of view.

I never said it was always wrong to enter fairyland. I only said it was always dangerous.

Sometimes a tree...is just a tree.

Don't look for miracles; you are the miracle.

Whatever you dance around, the sweet center of your life...this is your god.
